I Wish for Prom Updates
I Wish for Prom
Honoring a legacy of care.
Originally established in 2007 by the late Mandi Himler, “I Wish for Prom” is a formal gown collection and donation system now proudly operated by Luke 3:11 Ministries.
Our mission is to ensure that local high school students can experience a magical prom night, completely free from financial stress. The cost of a beautiful prom dress and matching accessories shouldn’t keep a student from making lifelong memories with their friends. We partner with wonderful local community spaces to provide a fun, personalized boutique shopping experience for local students at absolutely no cost.
How the Program Works
The Boutique Experience
We don’t just hand out dresses—we create a memorable, dignity-first shopping experience. Students get to browse, try on, and select the perfect gown with the help of friendly volunteers who are there to help them shine.
What We Provide
- Gently used and new prom dresses and formal gowns in all styles and sizes.
- Shoes, jewelry, evening bags, and matching accessories to complete the look.

It takes a community to bring a dream to life. From organizing inventory to helping a student find the perfect dress, there are so many ways you can support this seasonal initiative!
✨ Volunteer With Us
- Dress Consultants: Work directly with students during our boutique days to help them browse the racks and find a gown that makes them look and feel amazing.
- Boutique Setup & Organizing: Help us sort dresses by size, hang incoming inventory, and keep our display racks looking beautiful and welcoming.

When this happens, it's usually because the owner only shared it with a small group of people, changed who can see it or it's been deleted.
Would you believe that Luke's founders have been out-of-commission for a week? Brock is fighting a rare form of sepsis in the hospital, yet the amazing volunteers have kept all the projects running uninterrupted! Please join me in thanking them all for keeping this flame of love burning for our town! (PS You can follow my personal page for updates
